Ingredients:
200g Lamb Leg for Steak (less than 1cm thick, 2x100g pieces)
5g Olive Oil
10g Lemon Shio Koji (1.5 teaspoons)
Garlic, minced
Dried Italian herb (Sage is nice) -This is optional
Preparation:
Remove any excess fat from the lamb leg steaks.
In a bowl, combine the olive oil, Lemon Shio Koji, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
Coat the lamb leg steaks evenly with the marinade.
Place the marinated steaks in the refrigerator and let them marinate overnight or for at least 6 hours.
Before cooking, remove the marinated steaks from the refrigerator one hour ahead of cooking time and allow them to come to room temperature.
Cooking:
Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a bit of olive oil.
Once the oil is hot and begins to sizzle, add the dried Italian herb if you have any.
Immediately place the marinated lamb leg steaks in the pan.
Cook the steaks for approximately 2 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
Remove the cooked steaks from the pan and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serving:
Serve the lamb leg steak hot, accompanied by your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad. Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh herbs like parsley or rosemary for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy the juicy and tender lamb leg steak as a satisfying main course
